As a mom with children in school, the new year starts in September for me. Forget about all that New Year’s hoopla in January. Summer’s over and I proclaim, this is the year of Renee.
Here’s are my New Year’s resolutions (not in any special order).
- To reconnect with my spiritual side.
- To paint more with my boys and teach them more art, I want to do that again.
- To connect with more parents and grow this blog and my new site (be sure to visit and sign up!!) RAISING BOYS WORLD so together we can work to raise respectful, responsible men for our future.
- I NEED to put an end for good to that extra 40 lbs (10 lbs for each baby) I’ve been carrying on me – for good!
- To find the time to paint or draw – or play with more creative photography.
- To tone my flabby arms and stomach.
- This is the year I will run a full marathon (well, this is a maybe – I’ll at least run a few more half marathons…but I can aim for a full)
- To save money.
- To find a pair of jeans that fit and make me feel like I look hot.
- To speak Spanish fluently (currently I can speak Spanish like I’m about 4 years old, maybe younger)
- To be more patient.
- Make more time for my husband.
- To find more peace within my being and my surroundings.
- To live for the moment and worry less about the past or the future – to embrace life.
What are your New Year’s resolutions?
