As the mom of four, I’m pretty busy. if you read this blog, you also know how much winter weather gets me down (at least now that in my mind it’s March and should be getting warmer)! But who am I to complain, I can’t control the weather!
So a few weeks ago a friend asked me to go to Vegas. I’m pretty practical and reluctantly declined. She asked again and well, it didn’t take much to twist my arm. So I booked a flight. I mentioned it to another friend who replied, “I want in!” So then there was 4 girls going. All moms, and all in need of a little reality break.
As I sit in the airport watching the families and business people travel, I find it to be very odd to be alone. Free of all the gear and coordination. Sure I look at the moms and miss my boys, but I know a little time for me, in the end makes me a better mother. Also, it’s good for Hubby to be with the boys and for them to have a little freedom from me.
