There’s nothing worse than going on a family vacation and getting stuck with a rainy weather report. That would be us right now, on Cape Cod, a vacation we look forward to with anticipation every year…in the rain.
The boys are full of energy, they’re getting in each other’s nerves and they’re driving Hubby and I nuts. As you know from my previous posts the youngest member of the crew is in a major screaming phase. Not only does he scream often, but the decibels pierce through the ears and cause mental trauma. Being in the car with the screamer adds the the high level of stress and then everyone is crabby.
I love the Cape, but unless it’s sunny, there’s a limit to what you can do. We went to the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory for a tour. It’s self-directed, and very short, but worthwhile as each person gets 2 free little bags if chips. We bought some too, bad idea! They are so good and when you’re stressed and bored, what’s more fun than eating chips?! Needless to say, I haven’t exercised and my jeans are going to start getting tighter than they already are!
So as I type, I’m in Plymouth at an indoor play area called Jungleplex. The kids are playing soccer and running around, thank goodness… and I can catch up on writing a post. There are other places to being kids for lousy day indoor activities (my cousin lives here so we can an “in” on what to do) but elsewhere on the Cape is busy in a day like today. Everyone wants to do something!
The weather report says one more yucky day, we’re thinking of heading ti Boston for the day. Hopefully the sun comes out soon!
