You know that Saturday mornings will never be the same once you have children, right?

Practices, games, birthday parties, cub scouts or swimming, there’s always something on the schedule to prevent you from having a lazy day. Then there’s my 2 year-old.

Add him to the mix (especially when he’s in rare form) and you’ve got trouble. He’s been instigating trouble with his brothers all morning long. Pushing and hitting them and taking away their toys. He’s like a cyclone of 2-year-old craziness. The problem is that I can’t seem to stop him from terrorizing his older brothers. They’re really frustrated with him, but fortunately, they’ve handled him without causing any bodily harm.

I understand their frustration. Frankly the older boys are treating him with more respect than I might have at their age, I’m surprised an all-out brawl hasn’t ensued. Two is a difficult age to manage. I know he understands rules and consequences, but yet, he’s still a little guy so my expectations are a bit lower for him. For example, I cannot get him to stop jumping on the couch. No matter what I say or do, I’m always catching him throwing the pillows around and jumping on the couch. It drives me crazy! Does this sound familiar to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
