First – ignore the construction on the blog – I created a nice new header that I seem to be having trouble loading up.

New Header - what do you think?
Second, they started construction on my street. While this is a good thing for several reasons (new less bumpy road, entertainment for my children) the noise is making me a bit worried. Honestly, if the noise is as early and as loud as i think it might be – I’m in trouble.
Princess needs her sleep.
Of course, I could make a positive out of early rising. Perhaps a nice run or morning swim? No, sleep is better. No doubt.
What terrible luck I have. On our last day of school, when I just started looking forward to a few extra zzz’s tomorrow, the big trucks arrive. I suppose I could put the air conditioning on to prevent some of the noise from coming in. But truly, who am I kidding? These trucks are lining my sleepy street. One truck would be loud – add three more and you’ve got some serious noise.
So what’s my plan? Definitely using this as entertainment. We can sit and watch the trucks and our tax dollars work for us. I think since I’ve come to loathe mornings, I should use this as an opportunity to reconnect with the wee hours. School, getting ready and the stress – yikes. I thought I was about to get a break, but instead I’ll be up at the crack of dawn. Without a schedule to adhere to, I will try to go running. Maybe husband can hang out with the boys before work while I get my exercise in. After all, I need to whip myself into shape since I’ve decided to run the Toronto half marathon in September so I better get going on that.
