Working with a small canvas gives me the opportunity to play around with an idea without too much risk or commitment. This is a photo of acrylic painting on four 4×4 canvases. I do these little test run pieces to see what I think of a composition, to try something new without investing much time or materials or for moments when I’m short on time but feel inspired to create.
