It’s been forever since my last post! I’m so sorry. Very soon I have some exciting news about the site – so come back again…

So, it’s been a rough Easter vacation here. Nobody is sick (thankfully), but the miserable weather here is making us  – well sick of the cold! If it hasn’t been cold and windy, then it’s been rainy or snowy. Not the best weather for  house full of boys! Feeling like they want to run and play, sitting at home on vacation is such a bummer.

Despite the mess outside, we’ve made the best (or are trying to anyway) of a crummy situation. I’ve put a strict limit on video games or else I know I’ll find them escaping for much too long – vegging out in front of a game. Sure that’s a perfect babysitter so I can get my own work done, but I didn’t have kids to put them in front of TV or games.

Instead we’ve baked c=bread (2 different types), made homemade chocolates, ran some errands that involved Wegmans (my favorite grocery store – they do not pay me to say that – though considering how often I do – they should!), visited friends, had friends visit us, cleaned the house, prepared wonderful dinners, colored, played games, cuddled and lounged around. With a few more days of vacation, we’re bound to grow more restless if the weather doesn’t improve, but at least I can say that I’ve enjoyed this time more than I expected.

I hope my children have too.

What are your rainy day suggestions?
