We See the First of Our Cauliflower!

The garden is looking good. This morning I could see the first of our cauliflower.

On Sunday I made chicken souvlaki. It you’re not familiar with the dish, it’s a Greek recipe. The chicken is marinated in herbs and spices, then the strips are grilled. A salad (lettuce [I use spinach and mixed greens], tomato, onion and feta cheese) accompanies the chicken and can be stuffed in a pita.  I also made tzatziki sauce, it tastes great with the chicken. For the salad, I used lettuce from the garden. It was scrumptious!

I added a few bean seeds along the edge of the garden last week and they’re starting to creep up. With those I will make dilly beans. YUM. I’ll post that recipe soon.

As you can see, I finished the little path. This way, hopefully, the boys won’t step on the plants.
